Cyclone in December

I dreamed of an enchanted December
Trees lined with lighted foliage
And pumpkin cushion, a respite forever.

Sweet fragrance of chamomile tea
Increases my festive spirit to a tee
As I deliver my soliloquy
To the blue green birdie
Perched on the tree.

But alas!
From deep slumber I awake
And found my magical vision at stake.
The strongest cyclone to hit my country
Run off quickly and killed many.

Loss of lives and destruction
Survivors grieve in action
From flooded and muddy ground
Wailing souls reach out their hands.

"Tis the season to be jolly
But how can we be merry?
To God Almighty please have pity
In your compassion give hope and mercy.
