Day starts at four
dawn
With closed eyes to the
Great One
Tranquility reigns
My heart in whispers
Gratitude is my first
breath
For life I behold
Mindfulness I seek
No matter what the
day brings
Be kind, true and
strong
I can never tell
In a quandary I am
Will this be my last?

DeleteHow beautiful, to wake in gratitude. I love the mindfulness, and "be kind, true and strong." Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteI, too, am realizing that I cannot know, and the prayer is indeed gratitude for all that was and is (and might be if I could ever have time to perfect my moods and mindfulness). This is a mighty fine poem!
ReplyDeleteI believe it is possible if we ask the Great One to rule our heart. Thank you for your comment.
DeleteDid I make the most of my day? Good questions are always life giving!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good question indeed! Reflecting on what transpired during the day. Thank you for your comment.
ReplyDeleteIf it is it is too late to worry any more. Enjoying life is far better that worrying about death.
